For what's worth.

SIA girl will be flying off sooooon! TAKE CARE KAY!

A few of the 10 present tonight

Everyone has different values in life that are worth so much to them. Some are quantitative values, and some are not. What makes a hard day at work less torturous is to have a group of friends who treasure your companionship like how you treasure theirs.

Starting from the complaints at work to a couple of friends while we were on our way to a faraway land to feed our starving stomachs to having a hearty meal while all 10 of us talk about anything under the sky, ranging from Korean fanpop to economical situation in Europe and New Zealand. There were jokes about how some of us gain or lost weight over the short span of time since we last met and poking fun at each others' fat cheeks or huge biceps. Then, there were epic moments when we found out that one of us didn't know what Udders was and ultimately, not knowing where to download apps for her phone. (i still cannot forget how epic it was. Right Cass?) Let us not forget how bitchy some people may get reacting to certain comments or reaction.

These are the memories forged with long-lasting friendships and never-ending love for each other, feeding off energies and laughter of one another. The exact moment where time froze and the only thing you could remember doing for the day was having fun with your friends, washing away the stress and anger anyone accumulated.

Friends come and go. I have seen many and experienced many, seeing how people give up on their friendship with others, or those with me. These bunch of crazy loonies ,who goes around terrorizing neighborhoods with laughter and stalking pairs of eyes that follow any pretty (or not so pretty) people whenever they step into the shop, are definitely here to stay, for the long run.

I won't need to run, I won't need to hide.
I don't have to act, I don't have to fight.
All i need are those so close to me, to my heart.
For what's worth,
Let's go!

And then lastly, for those who are partying this weekend, Never close our eyes.

Voyage De La Vie

Simply magnificent.
My two words for what i saw at RWS Festive Grand Theatre.

Voyage de la Vie, a show that came to Singapore about a couple of years ago, and on Thursday evening, I have seen one of their last few shows in Singapore. Some people may say it was disappointing but I'll say, they are all wrong. I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

They started off singing and dancing like how Glee does it, then the entire story line of a guy in the busy, working reality goes on a journey to find happiness - which is portrayed into a small red lighted ball, and the emphasis on the journey instead of the destination. What really amazes me is the amount of enthusiasm they put in everything they do on stage. The contortionists, despite the difficult moves of pushing limits and twisting possibly every joints to reach places most of us can never reach, manage to keep their smile constant, charming the audiences. The many performers who defy gravity and took up the high elements of the show, flipping, turning and twisting in mid air, and the best part? -wait for it- , they do the stunts all without any safety harness. I remember specifically that there is an act whereby performers with Hawaiian outfits doing gymnastics on the stage, flipping and tumbling on the trampoline. There was a girl, in a long pink flowy skirt, doing a forward flip and did at least 3 turns in mid-air, allowing the skirt to spin like a blossoming flower. This definitely left me with my mouth open for a good 10 seconds as I thought it was near impossible to even perform in a skirt. And then they have those who doesn't defy gravity, performing his shooting skill. No, not an air rifle, but a cross-bow. With that kind of accuracy and ease, it will let you and possibly your fellow army mates underestimate the standard of marksman back in camp. Then, ending with a collaboration of the entire crews performing and singing. Impressive.

On occasions, you find it awkward that certain things happen - like when the person suddenly sings after a high-risk performance. Then this is enhanced with the wonderful stage-play and coordination by the stage crews that are hidden within the performers, making things seem like they magically appear.

All in all, it is an evening that I will definitely remember for a long time because of the daring, enthusiastic, beautifully artistic performances i was given a chance to watch. I often tell friends how i would have peed in my pants if i was even making my way up to the ceiling, not to mention doing a back flip. Sunday is probably the very last show, and if you guys are interested and have nothing to do, please, go and have yourself entertained by very good performers.

Lastly, thanks to Weetz who invited us. (:

Taiwan Day 1

I have to say this took longer than i thought it would. I apologize for the much much delay of my day to day update on Taiwan because i have been so caught up with school assignments and work.

Let's get down to what we want (or hope) to see!

When we first got to the airport, what we saw were pretty established airport, with friendly staff guiding you through the path to the bus station where we take a bus to their train interchange, equivalent to our own CityHall station.

It was about 7am and the queue for bus was so long!

This guy stood right outside the train station. It was like stepping into a scene in Wizard of Ox.

Can you believe how BIG THIS IS!

They have these guiding lines for the commuters to queue. How about some in our own town?

One pattern that you see is that despite having an almost full train, you get to see seats all around. You don't see that many people rushing for the seats and Taiwanese pretty much like standing better.

Of course, in Taiwan, they have the keep right rule that was really difficult to keep to at the first few days.

AND YES, we have been lugging around our luggage around the place for about 2 hours plus. It was not even funny how awkward and clumsy we looked.

They actually have such an etiquette. If I'm not wrong, Japan has the same etiquette too.

I don't know if any of you guys remember this scene, but these are the very first scene in the Taiwanese movie "Love". The part when there were a lot heart-shaped balloons and one of the main leads took his yellow bicycle and cycle down the street.

The coming pictures are those of Taiwan 101. I have to say i wasn't very amused at the things available inside, but i guess it was the first experience that counts, at a certain amount of monies.

These sculptures are actually made of corals. CORALS I SAY.

These were taken at a temple of the Dragon or something. Awesome view and atmosphere!

When you are in Taiwan, how can there not be any "Mee Sua" and "Da Ji Pai"? HOW NOT TO BE FAT? The food came in large portion and at an affordable price. Something that we probably like when we are there the entire time. There wasn't a minute that our hands were not holding food or drinks.

Some Mexican pizza with a whole lot of meat and cheese inside. It basically OOZED out in your mouth

Fried milk. It can literally melt in your mouth.

Frog Spawn. Not literally, just balls of flour with jelly in a cup of grass jelly drink. It tastes AWESOME

I laughed like a mad when i saw this. Please read the red notice. Adult Video. Korean drama. Figure it out.

Oh yes, when you are at Shi Lin, no matter how nice the ladies selling fruits are, DO NOT BUY ANY FROM THEM! It is probably the most expensive i have ever tasted because just a small pack of sliced watermelons and honeydew, it cost us about SGD$10!

Lastly before we head back to our hotel, these were our supper. You have no idea how much we did not care about the diet plans. Chicken skin, meat balls, duck drumsticks, and random barbequed meat all at once, and then pair them up with a cup of whiskey. That was about the end of the REALLY tiring first day. I swear we covered a few miles in distance just by walking.

All these were my first experience the moment i stepped into Taiwan. I have to say it was hell of a tiring because of all the walking due to the inefficient hotel staff that didn't get our rooms prepared on time, and probably also because we touched down at 6am. I have to say, i love the weather, the environment, the services.

The start of my 9 days affair with Taiwan.
